This painting was inspired by not a Hyena but a cat. That would seem strange because this is a Hyena Mother and child or cub if you like. Mothers love their kids. Mothers will kill you if you mess with their kids. Let me get to why I say that this painting was inspired by a cat.

We own a cat called Stripes at home that has given us enough nightmares. This particular mother (The cat) is just simply weird. It is as strange as they come. Every time she gives birth, it is either five or four kittens. The most worrisome thing is that after two weeks she always, like clockwork, has one female kitten remaining. And always, we never get to see the others or even have an idea where they go. They just disappear in thin air. No questions asked. I would if cats could talk.

One thing we are sure of is that all the kittens that disappear are male. Always, all the time. So we concluded that this was the work of males who will want all the male kittens dead so that come the mating se...
